Smiles are facial expressions created by (usually pleasant) experiences, smiles are an outside facial feature. So you indeed can see smiles. If you were asking because you can't see my smile then you obviously don't get what a quotation is.

Well it's kinda easy to recognise a fake smile, the eyes are the betraying features

Then let's go deeper with your interpretation. "It's scary what a smile can hide." Fake smiles are easily noticeable. Unless you wanna shine your knowledge of being fake with me. I see no real correlation. You're not wrong everyone can have their opinions. But yours I simply see no connection. Other than the fact that they have 'smile' in it.

'It's scary with a smile can hide' I didn't really interpret it, but I took in the sense that a smile can hide inner emotions or motives. So by that logic, I said that such smiles are still easy to figure out because of the eyes

A smile can hide emotions or inner thoughts. I agree on that. But what does that even have to do with identifying a fake smile.

I mean that smiles can still be kinda unsuccessful at hiding stuff, because you can figure them out if you watch closely

But who will stare into someone's eye creases when they're smiling?

Well, considering the eyes are in the view itself, I'd think you can easily make out. There's something called 'smiling eyes'.
