Hero Retake: Gambler – Machry Though designed to be a mage, Machry always played more of a semi-support role with Glittering Surprise as his core skill. At same time, he actually had a very weak passive skill which only brings a minor advantage to fights. Players relied on his area stun skill, but Machry’s other skills lacked synergy. So we reworked him, added more burst damage, and opened him up to a more flexible play style. Now the Gambler can double-down as a real mage. Dice Attack Damage reduced to 60/90/120/150 + 0.25 from 70/110/150/190 + 0.7 Every 5 meters of distance between Marchry and his target increases damage by 30/40/50/60 + 0.25 instead of 30/40/50/60. Bonus damage will be maxed at 20 meters (120/160/200/240 + 1.0) from his target or when “Greedy” is activated Cooldown is reduced to 9/8/7/6 from 14 at all levels. Glittering Surprise Damage adjusted to 25-150/75-200/125-250/175-300 from 1-200/50-225/100-250/150-275. Stun duration reduced to 0.5-1.5s for all levels from 1-1.5 /1-2/1-2.5/1-3s. Cooldown reduced to 16/14/12/10 from 20/18/16/14. Glittering Surprise Now has an active effect: Enhance the next skill Machry casts. Combined with Dice Attack: Skill deals maximum damage regardless of range. Combined with Glittering Surprise: Skill deals maximum damage and causes maximum stun duration. Combined with Gambler: Instantly damages all enemies in a wide area of effect. Sand Walker -- Agdirousi Agdirousi was designed to be a fast Fighter/Assassin hero. He should be agile, quick and dangerous. But the environment changes have greatly reduced Agdirousi’s battle prowess. So we reworked him to focusing on killing efficiency. We gave him more burst damage to make him deadly at the start of a fight. However, his ultimate was quite strong for Crowd Control, so we reduced its effectiveness to better balance out his kit. Infection Shot speed is increased. Casting time is reduced. Stab Can now store up two charges for consecutive use. Manic Now has the additional effect that every two normal attacks will now deal 40/55/70/85 + 0.2 bonus damage. Cage This now will only immobilize and silence the initial target for 3 seconds. All other targets will only have a 50% slow effect for 3 seconds. Cooldown reduced to 60/50/40 from 90/80/70. Lut’Hiran The effect of this shield was overpowering, so we scaled it back a bit and shortened its duration to make it more of a temporary barrier, rather than a healing effect. Paladin Formation The extra shield is reduced to 30% of lost HP from 40%. Duration is reduced to 3s from 10s. Ihaelryna Invisibility has always been a big threat to her opponents, and even her opponents’ towers. So after this change, Ihaelryna needs to play wiser to avoid getting caught when going invisible. Invisibility Movement speed boost reduced to 20% from 50%. Duration reduced to 8 seconds from 20 seconds. Lathier Lathier’s healing provides a huge number of defensive benefits to boot, making her target very hard to kill. So we shortened the duration, but provided the same amount of healing over time to make this skill only capable of protecting the target for a short time. Now Lathier needs to time her actions much more precisely. Arcane Boost Duration reduced to 4 seconds from 6 seconds. Healing effect increased to 15/30/45/60 from 10/20/30/40. Savaer Savaer needs more damage to be an assassin rather than a scrapper! Cross Slash Deals bonus scaling damage (0.3) when attacking a marked target. Khlint Compared to other support characters, Khlint’s mana cost is way too high. We significantly reduced his mana cost to try and keep him competitive. We also increased his early game damage but reduced his late game damage. Fire Bullet should be his key difference from other supports. Curative Arms Mana cost reduced to 60/70/80/90. Cooldown reduced to 12/11/10/9. Fire Bullet Mana cost is reduced to 60/70/80/90. Damage is increased to 120/180/240/300. Damage scaling is reduced to 0.4. Flare Mana cost reduced to 100 at all levels. Cunning Trap Mana cost reduced to 30 at all levels. Anuir We want Black Fog to be Anuir’s main soruce of damage; especially when she uses Phantom Blink. Black Fog Cooldown reduced to 10/9/8/7 from 24/21/18/15. Silence duration reduced to 1.5 seconds from 3 seconds. Mana cost reduced to 60 from 100 for all levels. Kuirras We shortened the cooldown of all of Kuirras’ skills to help him stack his skins faster and make him more useful in the early game. Impalement Cooldown reduced to 12/11/10/9 from 15 for all levels. Acidic Stream Cooldown reduced to 8 from 12. Shadow Cooldown reduced to 70/60/50 from 90/80/70. Guervus It may be a tiny change, but we believe this will give Guervus an agile characteristic that reflects his unique play style. Lava Burst Movement speed boost increased to 40% from 20%. Valox Another small change, but we wanted to give Valox a bit more crowd control early game. Orcish Spirit Cooldown reduced to 8 for all levels. Peila Peila is a good healer or protector. But he was not meant to be a damage dealer. So we reduced his basic damage a bit to make him more reliant on his team. Roar Damage reduced to 80/130/180/230 from 100/175/250/325. Mystic Compared to other mage passive skills, Mystic’s is just a bit underwhelming. So we increased its power significantly to give him more burst damage. Energy Diffusi Maximum magical attack increased to 30/45/60/75 from 10/15/20/25. Donovac Shield Slam is normally too slow to hit the target. So we reduced its casting time to make it easier for Donovac to stick to his target. Shield Slam Casting time reduced. Aria The ability to immobilize opponents gives Aria a huge advantage when facing melee heroes. We reduced its duration make it a little harder for her to keep her opponents at a distance. Zephyr Dance Immobilization duration reduced to 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8 from 2 at all levels. Polyphemous We just wanted to give Polyphemous a bit more bang out of his ultimate. Eye of Fury Damage scaling increased to 0.45 from 0.23. Laurelai We adjusted her skill shot to always fire as far as possible. This makes it a bit easier to stun seeded targets. Razor Leaf The two leaves always target the maximum range possible. Acridix We felt that less burst damage was needed to properly balance this beast. Leap of Filth Damage reduced to 60/95/130/165 from 75/110/145/180. Qiu Yuelan We increased the damage of Blinding Slice just a bit to give this assassin more opportunities to kill her target with a sudden burst of damage. Blinding Slice Damage increased to 65/90/125/160. Melina Spellmann We boosted Melina’s slow effect to make her Fire Unchained skill more viable and her burst damage more reliable. Arcane Blast Slow effect increased to 15/20/25/30% from 10/15/20/25%. Lu Yunfei We realized that Lu’s skills are too easy to spam and harass foes relentlessly. So we upped the mana costs to force players to use his skills more tactically. Lightning Burst Mana Cost increased to 100/110/120/130. Lord of Lightning Mana Cost increased to 50/60/70/80. Lightning Laceration Mana Cost increased to 50. Tryptic We want to see Tryptic immobilize more targets and become a bigger threat against slippery foes. Triple Threat Cooldown reduced to 7/6/5/4 from 8/7/6/5.
